Jacaranda - Pillar Candlestick

Each candlestick is hand carved from jacaranda wood by a fairtrade certified co-operative in Nairobi. Jacaranda is a fast growing wood, the pieces used to create this candlestick make use of offcuts from larger carving projects. The jacaranda pieces are finished using a traditional process of smoking the wood over fire to achieve its deep rich colour, it is then oiled to finish for a beautiful buttery hand feel.
