Jacaranda - Canopy Serving Plate

Each plate is hand carved from jacaranda, a fast growing wood, by a fairtrade certified co-operative in Nairobi. Jacaranda is a fast growing wood traditionally used for carving. The plates are then finished using a  traditional process of smoking the wood over fire to achieve its deep rich colour, it is then oiled to finish for a beautiful buttery hand feel.
