Kitchen at Birkelunden
The owner of this home, located in a classical building near Birkelunden in Oslo, has created a warm and modern feeling in her kitchen using our A Collection bamboo fronts. Choosing the color Stone enhance the color- and material palette throughout the home, designed with the aim of creating a calm retreat in the middle of the city. When renovating the old apartment the family of three wanted the kitchen to be the heart of the home, a place to gather around preparing- and enjoying meals, and to be spacious enough to host friends and family. Together with the owner, we created a solution where she was able to reuse some of the Ikea kitchen cabinets from the previous kitchen in the apartment, with our bamboo fronts. This way she could create an entirely new kitchen, and also upgrade on materials such as new wooden floors and a countertop in Silestone.
The kitchen is designed with a long counter, stretching along the entire room without wall cabinets, underlining the original details and the ceiling hight of the room. Our A2 Box Shelf is used for displaying unique ceramics and objects, creating a personal feeling in the modern kitchen. Natural materials adds tactility and warmth to the minimal design, creating an inviting and elegant atmosphere.
