Near the city of Antwerp there’s a townhouse with an E Collection kitchen in the finish, Rye. The interior is minimalistic accompanied by a touch of rustic elements like the tactile, unfilled travertine countertop. Keeping the stone in its natural state plays well with the bamboo and the clean surfaces of the walls and microcement floors.
Because of the long and narrow layout of the house we decided to divide the kitchen cabinets into several furniture pieces. The kitchen cabinets along the wall are divided in two parts by a curtain separating the dining area and kitchen area. The kitchen island is quite small and narrow working with the direction of the room, while it also hides the stove out of view and gives ample countertop space. Thinking creatively to find solutions that may be a bit out of the ordinary to enhance the sense of space in the room is why we love projects like these and this style of architecture.
